Nokia: Nokia X30 5G ‘coming soon’ to India: What to expect – Times of India

Nokia launched the X30 5G smartphone in markets like the UK and Europe in September 2022. Now, the smartphone is set to arrive in the Indian market. The VP of HMD Global for India and MENA, Sanmeet Kochhar, took to Twitter to announce that the phone is going to be launched in India soon. In this tweet, Kochhar also described the build of the phone and said that it’s made of 100 per cent recycled aluminium and 65 per cent recycled plastic. He also mentioned that these recycled materials can help everyone create a better tomorrow. However, the tweet didn’t mention any specific launch date for the phone.

Nokia X30 5G: Expected price and availability
Nokia X30 5G is already available in Europe and the UK where the phone starts at €530 (roughly around Rs 42,000). Here, the phone is available in two colour variants — Cloudy Blue and Ice White.
However, in India, the smartphone is expected to be priced under Rs 35,000. The tweet doesn’t share any specific launch date of the phone in India. It just mentions that Nokia X30 5G is ‘coming soon’ to India.
Nokia X30 5G: Design and specs (Europe variant)
Nokia claims this smartphone to be a sustainable smartphone that offers mid-tier specifications. The phone has an aluminium frame and its display is protected with Gorilla Glass Victus. However, the back panel of the Nokia X30 5G is made out of plastic.

The European variant of the phone sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel that supports a 20:9 aspect ratio. Nokia X30 5G features a Snapdragon 695 chipset packed with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone also has a 128GB storage option.
Nokia X30 5G packs a 4200mAh battery unit that supports 33W fast charging and boots Android 12. The phone also has an IP67 dust and water-resistant rating. For connectivity, the smartphone will be equipped with 5G, Wi-Fi 6, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC.
