The Nokia XR20 India launch has been confirmed by the company and has also revealed the pre-booking date. It is the company’s latest rugged phone with 5G network connectivity and was originally launched back in July and is already rolling out in markets like the USA, UK and Europe. The handset is IP68 rated for dustproof and water-resistance and is also MIL-STD-810H certified. The Nokia XR20 screen can be used with wet fingers or gloves and ships with the latest Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Key specifications include a 6.67-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 480 chipset, 48MP primary camera and Android 11 OS.

The Nokia XR20 price is set at USD 550 (approx. Rs 40,900) for the single 6GB + 128GB version. It comes in Granite and Ultra Blue colour options. The phone is also available in 4GB + 64GB version in Europe and UK. We can speculate the handset could be priced around Rs 45,000 in India. Nokia XR20 specifications

The Nokia XR20 rugged phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset coupled with Adreno 619 GPU for games. It packs 6GB RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage and a 4,630mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Connectivity features include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/NavIC, and USB Type-C port. The phone runs on Android 11 OS out of the box and the company is promising 3 years of OS upgrades and up to 4 years of monthly security updates.

Nokia XR20 sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with 1080 × 2400 pixels resolution, Gorilla Glass Victus, centre-positioned punch-hole camera and a peak brightness of 550 nits. It measures 171.6 x 81.5 x 10.6mm and weighs 248 grams. Moving to optics, the Nokia XR20 is equipped with dual rear cameras, with a 48MP primary sensor with ZEISS optics and f/1.8 aperture and a 13MP wide-angle lens. The phone is IP68 rated for water resistance and is MIL-STD-810H compliant. There is an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
