Nothing ear (1) — the Truly Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds are set to launch in India. Ahead of the launch, the company has announced the price at which it will be available for buyers.
Nothing ear (1) earbuds: Price in India and competition
The company will be launching the Nothing ear (1) in India at Rs 5,999. Buyers will be able to get their hands on these from Flipkart. At this price, the Nothing ear (1) OnePlus Buds Nord, Realme Buds Air Pro and under Rs 5,999.
Nothing ear (1) earbuds: International price
Internationally, the company is set to launch the Nothing ear (1) TWS earbuds at GBP 99, which translates to Rs 10,200. Therefore, the company is set to launch its first product in India at a price that is almost half of its international price.
Nothing ear (1) earbuds: What we know so far
At the time of revealing the International price of the Nothing ear (1) earbuds, the company had also revealed that the earbuds will offer Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support. This will be courtesy the three high-definition microphones that it is set to house.
The company’s co-founder Carl Pei in a recent interview with TechCrunch compared these upcoming earbuds with Apple AirPods Pro that are priced at Rs 24,900 in India. He said that feature-wise they will be similar to Apple’s TWS earbuds.
While not much is revealed by this point in terms of specs, one key aspect of the Nothing ear (1) earbuds is said to be its transparent design, which is said to be the primary reason for such a delay in the launch of these earbuds.
To recall, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei ventured into a new consumer technology startup called ‘Nothing’ earlier this year.
Truly wireless earbuds is the first consumer technology product category that Nothing is starting out with as according to Pei “the earphones market was begging for differentiation…” and it will apparently play a role as the company “prepares to enter new product categories.”
