nothing: Nothing Phone (1) to come with 45W fast charging support – Times of India

OnePlus’ co-founder Carl Pei’s technology startup Nothing entered the market last year with the launch of its first true wireless earbuds, Nothing Ear (1). Earlier this year, the company announced its plans to enter the smartphone market. The startup confirmed that it will launch its first smartphone, dubbed as Nothing phone (1), later this year. Now a new detail about the upcoming Nothing smartphone has surfaced online.
Nothing Phone (1) to support 45W fast charging
Earlier this week, Nothing confirmed that it will launch its first smartphone the Nothing Phone (1) in India on July 12. Now ahead of the official launch the upcoming smartphone has received TUV certification. The certification reveals that the yet-to-launch Nothing Phone (1) will come with 45W fast charging support. The listing also suggests that the company will ship the smartphone with a charger. As per the listing, the Nothing charger adapter is said to be compatible with the PPS charging standard. This means that users can also fast charge other devices like notebooks and Android smartphones using the charge.
Nothing Phone (1) design
The company has already confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) will follow the same design philosophy as the Nothing Ear (1) TWS. This means that the smartphone will come with a translucent design. The design of the smartphone is based on a map of the New York subway made by Massimo Vignelli and Bob Noord in 1972. Pie mentions that the design of the Nothing smartphone is inspired by the Nothing ear (1) and the company also believes in consistent design across its products.
Nothing Phone (1) expected specifications
Nothing Phone 1 is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 788G processor. The smartphone is said to feature a 6.55-inch full HD+ OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate.
The upcoming Nothing Phone 1 is said to run Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own Nothing OS. The smartphone is tipped to pack 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The smartphone may sport a triple rear camera with a 50MP primary camera, 8MP secondary camera and 2MP tertiary camera. The device is rumoured to be backed by a 32MP selfie shooter.
The Nothing Phone 1 is said to be backed by a 4500mAh battery with wireless charging support.
Nothing Phone (1) launch details
The launch event, called “Nothing(event): Return to Instinct”, is scheduled at 16:00 BST on July 12 (8:30 PM IST). It will be a virtual event live-streamed on YouTube and Nothing’s official website.
