Nothing Phone (1) likely price and launch date tipped online – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Technology startup Nothing entered the market last year with the launch of its first true wireless earbuds Nothing Ear (1). Earlier this year, the company confirmed that it will launch its first smartphone, dubbed as Nothing phone (1), later this year. Recently, the company revealed details about its design and now a leak has surfaced online detailing its likely price and launch date.
According to a report by a German publication, All Round PC, the first Nothing smartphone is said to launch on July 21. The report does not reveal any information about the sale date of the smartphone.
The report also added that the Nothing Phone (1) is likely to be priced at around 500 euros (Rs 42,000). If this is true, the smartphone will compete against the affordable R-series of smartphones from OnePlus.
Meanwhile, Carl Pei and Nothing’s chief designer, Tom Howard revealed some information about the design of the upcoming Nothing phone (1) to Wallpaper.com. As reported by Wallpaper.com, the Nothing phone (1) will sport a translucent design. This means that the smartphone will follow the same design philosophy as the Nothing Ear 1 true wireless earbuds.
The design of the smartphone is based on a map of the New York subway made by Massimo Vignelli and Bob Noord in 1972.
Nothing Phone 1 expected specifications
The Nothing Phone 1 i is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 788G processor. The smartphone is said to feature a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate.
The Nothing Phone 1 is said to run Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own Nothing OS. The smartphone is tipped to pack 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The smartphone may sport a triple rear camera with a 50MP primary camera, 8MP secondary camera and 2MP tertiary camera. The device is rumoured to be backed by a 32MP selfie shooter.
The Nothing Phone 1 is said to be backed by a 4500mAh battery with wireless charging support.
