Nothing to announce its 2022 product roadmap on March 23rd

Nothing’s chief Carl Pei will be headlining the event. And, we expect Pei to spill some beans on the Nothing Phone. As you can notice, there’s a little Qualcomm logo placed at the bottom of the event page, and both the companies haven’t shied away from promoting their partnership. There’s not much known about the Nothing phone, but we have seen the spy picture of Pei showing the prototype to Qualcomm’s Christiano Amon. So, the Qualcomm logo seems to be a little nudge to the upcoming Nothing Phone, which is expected to be powered by Snapdragon.

The teaser for the event says, “What if 2021 was just a warm up?” Even Pei says that 2022 is Nothing’s real founding year, which could mean that the company might be planning something big this year. Last year, the company unveiled its first product – the Nothing Ear (1). And, it did turn out to be a blockbuster product for a company with just 300 people. So far, Nothing has shipped 400,000 units of Ear (1).

Nothing raised USD 70 million from C Ventures, EQT Ventures, and Alphabet’s GV in the series B of funding, taking the company’s total funding to USD 144 million. The investment includes USD 1.5M from its first round of community fundraising. Nothing says that the “new funding will go towards scaling its product ecosystem and establishing its London Design Hub.”

“With this round of financing, we have the fuel to realise the next phase of our vision of a seamless digital future,” said Carl Pei, Nothing CEO, and co-founder.
