Now book hotels on Flipkart: here’s everything about the new feature

Walmart-owned Flipkart bought digital travel agency Cleartrip to expand into the travel sector. Cleartrip is hence providing API support to develop Flipkart Hotels across the e-commerce platform.

Flipkart Vice President Adarsh Menon said the company is excited to launch the feature to provide its users access to affordable hotels on its app. It is also providing its users access to third-party deals. A customer care service has also been incorporated by Flipkart to provide a communication channel between its team and the users. It aims to resolve customer inquiries with respect to hotel bookings.

Flipkart further stated that the hospitality sector has seen a remarkable increase in demand in both national and international accommodation markets in the year 2022 and certainly new travel trends like “exploring lesser-known destinations, workstations, long stays, and vacation rentals” have taken a front seat.

In other news, Flipkart is launching its famous and biggest festive sale, The Big Billion Days Sale, in September this year. The sale like every year is going to offer massive discounts on smartphones and electronics of almost all general and premium brands, TVs, ACs, accessories, and other appliances. It has also clubbed with Axis and ICICI bank to offer additional discounts.
