Nubia Red Magic 7S, 7S Pro receive TENAA certification, key specs tipped online

Nubia is set to expand its gaming smartphone series with the launch of the Red Magic 7S lineup. The company might unveil two new devices under the upcoming series which will include the Nubia Red Magic 7S and the 7S Pro devices. Recently, both handsets appeared on the 3C certification website with model numbers NX679S and NX709S, respectively. A new report by GizmoChina reveals that both handsets have now received approval from the TENAA authority of China. The TENAA certification has also revealed some key details about the upcoming smartphones.

As per the report, both Nubia Red Magic 7S and 7S Pro is expected to sport a 6.8-inch OLED display that will support Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels). Earlier this year, Nubia debuted the Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro which offered a 120Hz and a 165Hz refresh rate, respectively. The report suggests that the upcoming smartphones will also boast similar refresh rates.
The report also claims that both devices are likely to come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform which is expected to be backed with four different RAM variants — 8GB / 12GB / 16GB / 18GB of RAM. Moreover, the Red Magic 7S will offer three different storage options — 128GB / 256GB / 512GB of storage while the Pro model might feature a fourth storage variant with a 1TB storage capacity.
Both smartphones are expected to house a 64MP triple rear camera setup, however, the report has not shared any other details about the rear camera module. Meanwhile, the base variant of the upcoming series may feature an 8MP front snapper while the Pro model is likely to come equipped with a 16MP under-display selfie shooter like the previously released Red Magic 7 Pro.
The Red Magic 7S and the 7S Pro might pack 4,500mAh and 5,000mAh battery units, respectively. However, the base model might reportedly offer slower charging speeds as compared to the Pro model even though both devices were spotted with a 165W charger at 3C, the report claims. Both smartphones are expected to boot Red Magic UI based on Android 12 OS.
