Nubia Z50 smartphone with 16GB RAM, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC launched – Times of India

ZTE‘s sub-brand Nubia has launched its flagship smartphone – Nubia Z50 – in China. This is the first smartphone of the company to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The high-end smartphone sports an AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and sports a 64MP main camera. Nubia Z50 features an AG glass back panel and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery.
The Nubia Z50 comes with a starting price tag of 2999 yuan (Rs 35,560) and it will go on sale in China starting December 23. Customers can purchase the smartphone in black and white colour options.
Nubia Z50 specifications
Nubia Z50 features a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of brightness.
The flagship smartphone from Nubia is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM. The smartphone packs up to 1TB of internal storage.
The dual SIM Nubia Z50 smartphone runs Android 13 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MyOS 13. Nubia Z50 sports a triple rear camera with a 64MP main camera with LED flash, f/1.6 aperture, 50MP ultra-wide angle lens and 2MP macro camera. The rear camera is also capable of recording 8K videos. The front is home to a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.45 aperture.
The premium Nubia smartphone comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers tuned by DTS Audio. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro to launch on December 26
Nubia has also confirmed that it will launch the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro smartphone on December 26. The gaming smartphone of the company will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The upcoming Nubia smartphone is said to sport a 6.8-inch OLED display with full HD+ resolution with a high refresh rate. The Red Magic 8 Pro being a gaming smartphone, is expected to come integrated with a cooling system to avoid unnecessary heating. The device is also likely to feature a heat-dissipation turbofan.
