Official image and specs for OnePlus Nord N20 here
TL;DR
- OnePlus has now shared the first official image of the OnePlus Nord N20.
- The company has also shared some official specs.
- The phone will launch at some point in April 2022.
The phone in question is the OnePlus Nord N20. As with previous Nord devices, OnePlus shared some exclusive images and specs with PC Mag. You can see the official image mirrored above.
Unsurprisingly, the phone looks identical to the leaked renders shared by reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer back in November. The phone has a boxy shape that is quite reminiscent of the latest crop of iPhones. It also officially lacks the OnePlus alert slider, which the company appears to reserve for more expensive devices.
OnePlus also shared some specs.
OnePlus Nord N20: Official specs
For display tech, the Nord N20 will come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. There will be an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The fact that the display lands at 60Hz instead of 90Hz is a big head-scratcher, considering the Nord N10 had a 90Hz panel. OnePlus didn’t give a direct reason why, but it likely came down to a choice between a 60Hz AMOLED or a 90Hz LCD, and OnePlus chose the former.
So far, the specs for the Nord N20 aren’t blowing us out of the water.
OnePlus also confirmed the phone will come with SuperVOOC fast-wired charging. However, it did not clarify what the speed would be. It’s possible the phone could have the same 65W speeds as the OnePlus 9 series, but that’s unclear at the moment.
That’s it for confirmed OnePlus Nord N20 specs. Rumored specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, a 48MP + 8MP rear camera, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It’s also rumored the phone could launch with Android 11 instead of Android 12.
We’ll find out everything there is to know when OnePlus launches this phone later in April 2022.
