Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro electric scooter deliveries to begin this month; bookings reopen from December 16th | 91mobiles.com
With the launch of Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters, cab aggregator Ola created a buzz in the electric vehicle space. In the month of September, Ola sold scooters worth Rs 12,000, raising $200 million from the investors. However, the booking was closed temporarily within days, informing that the bookings would be reopened on November 1st, but that didn’t happen. Ola has said that the company will start taking orders for the S1 again on December 16th.

The cab aggregator further informed that Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro deliveries will begin this month. Customers will start getting their scooters later this month and deliveries are expected to continue till February. Varun Dubey, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola Electric, said, “When we opened this up on September 15 and 16, we already communicated the delivery windows to customers. Some people will get the scooters in November, some in December, some in January, and others in February. The next date of booking is opening in December.”
The bookings for the Ola S1 and S1 Pro will be starting again on December 16th. So, the customers who paid a pre-booking amount of Rs 500 can pay the remaining amount and confirm their booking. The Ola S1 and S1 Pro have been priced at Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,000, respectively. In recent news, Ola also started the test rides of S1 and S1 Pro in four cities.
Ola electric scooters offer a 180km range, a top speed of 118 kmph, and Hypercharge support. According to Ola, HyperCharge provides a driving range of 75 km within 18 minutes of charge. The Ola S1 and S1 Pro also come with a 7-inch screen, Bluetooth connectivity with a smartphone, and 8.5kW peak motor power. The Ola S1 and S1 Pro come in various colours: Porcelain White, Neo Mint, Coral Glam, Jet Black, and Marshmellow.
