On Steve Jobs’ 10th death anniversary, Elon Musk wishes he could have spoken to him – Times of India
Replying to a tweet that quotes an article with the headline, “Decade after Jobs’ death, has Apple traded magic for profit?”, Musk said that, “I wish I had the opportunity to talk to him.” It’s not clear whether Musk was referring to the content of the article, which isn’t too flattering for Apple in general.

Interestingly, one of Jobs’ biggest rivals — Bill Gates — once weighed on the comparison between the Tesla CEO and Apple co-founder. In an interview with Bloomberg, Gates was asked what he thought of the comparisons between Jobs and Musk. “If you know people personally, that kind of gross oversimplification seems strange,” Gates said in the interview. Gates further explained the differences between the two men and how they work. “Elon’s more of a hands-on engineer. Steve was a genius at design and picking people and marketing,” Gates said. “You wouldn’t walk into a room and confuse them with each other,” he added.
Walter Isaacson, the man who wrote the definitive book on Jobs, has said that Musk is very similar to Jobs. “In some ways, he’s the Steve Jobs of our time, he’s crazy enough to think he can change the world and thus he might be one of the ones who do change the world,” Isaacson said of Musk. In fact, Isaacson is currently writing an authorised biography on Musk.
