onenote: Microsoft OneNote is getting a resign refresh, brings new interface, features and more – Times of India

After updating several of its apps and software, Microsoft has now started testing a new design update for its note-taking app — OneNote. The company first teased the updated design for the app last year and has finally started rolling out the update for beta testers.
The new OneNote design update brings the app in line with Windows 11’s aesthetics. Also, the design refresh merges the OneNote and OneNote for Windows 10 apps into a single OneNote app.
As far as design changes are concerned, the update adds new navigation panes and full-screen mode. Apart from that, the page list, notebook dropdown option, and section tabs have been updated with a new look and feel.
The test version of the OneNote app also brings the Mica effect from Windows 11’s theme and wallpapers. Usual Windows 11 changes are also there which include rounded corners, new animations and more.
The test version of OneNote has also received a new unread indicator similar to what we have seen with other Office products. The new indicator allows users to quickly find unread changes.
That’s not it, OneNote has also received an updated Draw tab with tools borrowed from Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The list of new tools includes a ruler, shape and ink to text. The app has also received support for Surface Slim Pen 2.
Other new features include Page sorting, new sharing options, insert picture feature directly from the camera app and more.
