OnePlus 10 Pro launch date revealed? Alleged OnePlus CES invite shows up | 91mobiles.com
OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 10 Pro flagship in China in early January, followed by a global announcement in March/April, similar to the OnePlus 9 series. The delay in global launch could probably be related to the unified OS that OnePlus and OPPO are currently working on. Now, noted tipster Max Jambor has shared an alleged invite of a OnePlus event that is scheduled on January 5th, 2022 in Las Vegas. This happens to be the same day the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is set to kick off. While there’s no mention of the OnePlus 10 or the OnePlus 10 Pro, there are chances the brand might reveal the phones or tease their arrival.

There is very little chance for the brand to launch the OnePlus 10 series on January 5th considering there were rumours that OnePlus would first launch the lineup in China and then expand it to other markets, including India. OnePlus doesn’t have a history of launching phones at CES, hence we speculate the company might just offer a tease of what’s coming with the OnePlus 10 flagships. Both models are expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset similar to Moto Edge X30, Xiaomi 12, and others.
OnePlus 10 Pro specifications (expected)
OnePlus 10 Pro specifications were exclusively revealed by 91mobiles. It is said to sport a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is speculated to have triple cameras on the back, comprising of a 48MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3.3x zoom. It will have a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and an IP68 rating for water resistance. The phone will have a 5000mAh battery with 125W wired charging support. It will come in multiple variants: 8GB/128GB LPDDR5 RAM and 12GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. The OnePlus 10 Pro flagship is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
As for the design, the leaked render showed the OnePlus 10 Pro is said to come with a square-camera module on the back with Hasselblad lenses. It will have curved edges on the top and a tiny punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner to house the selfie snapper. The USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and speaker grille could be placed on the bottom. The alert slider and power button are on the right edge, while the volume rocker could be on the left. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the vanilla OnePlus 10 but we speculate the phone will have slightly trimmed down specifications to lower the price tag. We should learn more details soon.
