NEW DELHI: OnePlus recently launched its flagship smartphone — OnePlus 10 Pro in China. The company is also expected to launch the smartphone globally in March this year. Now, a new rumour has surfaced online revealing that the Chinese smartphone maker may launch another premium smartphone in the market. Likely to be called the OnePlus 10 Ultra, the smartphone is already in the early testing phase. The company is expected to launch the smartphone in the second half of the year.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Chinese smartphone maker is working on its Ultra flagship smartphone. Likely to be called OnePlus 10 Ultra, the smartphone is presently undergoing engineering verification testing (EVT). For the unaware, EVT is performed on prototypes of upcoming smartphones and it is usually the first phase of testing. After this testing, the smartphone undergoes design verification testing (DVT) followed by product verification testing (PVT).

Brar also adds that the OnePlus and Oppo partnership has led to a lot of sharing between the two technology firms. Rumours suggest that the upcoming Oppo Find X5 smartphone is said to come with a Hasselblad developed rear camera setup. Brar also reveals that the OnePlus flagship smartphone could also get Oppo’s MariSilicon X NPU which was unveiled last month.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch the OnePlus Nord 2 CE smartphone in the coming months. OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G smartphone will be launched on February 11. Similar date was also predicted by several other tipsters previously. However, the date seems too early considering that the company just launched the OnePlus 9RT in India.

As of now, OnePlus has not shared any official information about the rumoured device but it is expected to be one of the most affordable 5G smartphones from OnePlus. According to previous reports, the smartphone will also be available in the Indian market soon as it was spotted on the BIS certification website.
