OnePlus 10T bend test shows phone breaks into half like OnePlus 10 Pro
In 6 minutes and 39 seconds video, the YouTuber channel JerryRigEverything’s Zack does the traditional recipe of scratch, burn, and bend test on the OnePlus 10T to check its durability. Spoiler alert: It cracks.
OnePlus 10T bend test
For starters, the OnePlus 10T, like every other smartphone, holds strong against the scratch test. The AMOLED panel of the OnePlus 10T has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top, which survives a level 6 scratch test on the Mohs hardness scale. Further, the Youtuber also scratches all four sides of the OnePlus 10T’s plastic (with some metal components here and there) body, pealing out its shell.
Moving to the main course, the OnePlus 10T is on fire, literally, and it lasts around 20 seconds before a slew of pixels turns white and never fully recovers back to normal. The Youtuber spares the OnePlus 10T’s fingerprint reader from the traditional burn test.
Now it’s time for the dessert, the bend test. When the Youtuber bends the OnePlus 10T from the front, it stays strong and shows no signs of cracking. However, when the same is executed on the rear panel of the OnePlus 10T, and we witness the same tragedy previously seen on the 10 Pro, it snaps into half from the very spot as the OnePlus 10 Pro, right under the camera island.
