Today, OnePlus has formally announced the Cloud 11 event on its official website. The latter will take place in New Delhi on February 7th of next year and will mark the launch of the company’s flagship smartphone for 2023: the OnePlus 11.
Despite dropping the “Pro” moniker, the device will come with the latest and greatest of what Android has to offer, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. OnePlus is placing a lot of emphasis on the camera module of its new handset, which has received a design revamp and is now circular.
The tagline of the event is Witness the Shape of Power, in all likelihood in order to reflect the aforementioned transition. Additionally, the company is highlighting the input of Hasselblad in the development of the OnePlus 11, further reinforcing the notion that this is a camera-oriented device.
Another prominent feature that OnePlus is drawing attention to is the Alert Slider, which is now making a return. All in all, the OnePlus 11 looks very promising on paper, but we will have to wait a little longer before we can put it to the test.
During the event, alongside the new smartphone, OnePlus will also unveil the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, the successor to the company’s premium wireless headphones from 2021. Both devices are going to be available internationally and will likely hit shelves worldwide before the end of February 2023.
While there is a possibility for some last-minute surprises, the OnePlus 11 alone is reason enough to look forward to the event.
