OnePlus 9RT 5G launched: from price to India launch, 5 important things you should know | 91mobiles.com
OnePlus 9RT 5G flagship has been officially launched in China, as promised. It comes as an iterative upgrade to the OnePlus 9R from earlier this year and is also the first phone to ship with the latest ColorOS 12 skin out of the box. It retains a similar design as the OnePlus 9, with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, a rectangular module to house triple sensors, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. OnePlus had already confirmed there won’t be any T series flagship for global markets this year, which also leads us to believe the OnePlus 9RT will not be made available in the UK and USA markets. Either way, now that the phone is officially introduced, here are five things you should know about it. Read on.
OnePlus 9RT is priced around Rs 38,500
OnePlus 9RT 5G price in China starts at RMB 3299 (around Rs 38,500) fir the 8GB + 128GB storage, RMB 3499 (approx Rs 40,900) for the 8GB + 256GB version and RMB 3799 (approx Rs 44,400) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
OnePlus 9RT get the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC
OnePlus 9RT is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC paired with Adreno 660 GPU. This is a big upgrade over the Snapdragon 870 on the OnePlus 9R. It is the same chipset found on the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. This paired with a large vapour cooling sink that is claimed to dissipate heat over an area of 19,067.44 mm² means that OnePlus 9RT should offer a solid performance that would be a delight for mobile gamers.
OnePlus 9RT offers a 50MP primary camera
Moving to the camera department, the OnePlus 9RT is equipped with a triple rear camera setup on the back. It includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS and EIS support, 1μm pixel size, f/1.88 aperture, and dual-LED flash. There is a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 123-degree FoV, f/2.25 aperture, and EIS and a 2MP 4cm macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The phone can record 4K video at 60fps, 1080p slow motion at 240fps, and 720p at 480fps. There is a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.4 aperture and EIS on the front for selfies and video chats.
How different OnePlus 9RT is from OnePlus 9?
OnePlus 9RT is a follow up to the OnePlus 9 lineup series from earlier this year. In comparison to the OnePlus 9, the 9RT though shares some similarities, has some differences as well.
For one, the OnePlus 9RT sports a large 6.62-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, sRGB, P3 colour gamut and 1300nits peak brightness. While the OnePlus 9 has a smaller 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED panel and just 1100nits brightness.
The OnePlus 9 also differs in terms of optics as well. It comes with a new Hasselblad Camera for Mobile. The handset features a 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, EIS, a 50MP ultra-wide Sony IMX766 camera with f/2.2 aperture and 4cm macro, a 2MP monochrome camera. Both phones have a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
