OnePlus 9RT will go official in India in January. The company has announced to host an event on January 14 where it will unveil the smartphone along with the OnePlus Buds Z2 wireless earbuds. Ahead of the launch, online commerce platform Amazon has created a microsite of the upcoming phone.
‘Gear up for the new year with one Geared for Greatness..OnePlus launch event Winter Edition’, the page reads. It also states the launch date — January 14 and the launch time — 5:00pm. The page also gives us a first glimpse of the OnePlus 9RT. It shows the phone featuring the Morning Mist colour design of OnePlus 9 Pro. The device has a vertically aligned three camera module on the phone’s back.
The image also confirms that the OnePlus 9RT will come with a 50MP main camera on the rear. The camera setup will be paired with dual LED flash lights. Needless to say but Amazon listing suggests that the handset will be available in India via the e-tailer’s site.
OnePlus 9RT rumoured specifications
OnePlus 9RT was launched in China in October last year. The smartphone comes with a 6.6- inch FHD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display gets 1300 nits of peak brightness and up to 120Hz refresh rate.
The handset comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 5G network connectivity. For camera duties, OnePlus RT offers a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and OIS. The primary lens is joined by a 16MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro shooter. The camera setup also gets dual-LED flash. The triple camera setup is said to offer hybrid focus and 4K video recording.
At the front, the handset sports a 16MP Sony IMX471 camera with an f/2.4 lens. The device houses a 4500mAh dual-cell battery with 65W fast charging support.
