OnePlus’ latest smartphone for its home marker, the Ace 2, has arrived with a familiar design as its high-end counterpart but much more modest hardware. The OnePlus Ace 2 borrows the design from the OnePlus 11 but ditches the Hasselblad branding and settles for last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

OnePlus Ace 2 starts at CNY 2799 (around Rs 34,100), and it is available for pre-order starting today, with open sales scheduled to begin from February 13. Just like the OnePlus Ace, the Ace 2 will remain exclusive to China. But, the smartphone is expected to come to India and other markets as the OnePlus 11R, which is slated to launch later today.

OnePlus Ace 2 flaunts a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz and 1450 nits of peak brightness. Further, the display covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, has 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and comes with Asahi Glass AGC protection. As for the audio, the smartphone has a set of stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.
Powering the Ace 2 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with 12GB/ 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/ 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone comes equipped with 5177mm² eight-channel vapour chamber, which as per the company, offers double the heat conduction capacity of a liquid-cooled vapour chamber.
The smartphone runs Android 13-based ColorOS 13 out of the box.
OnePlus Ace 2 boasts a 5,000mAH battery and comes with a 100W SuperVOOC charger, which claims to charge the smartphone from 1 percent to 100 percent in 25 minutes. The smartphone has the world’s first SuperVOOC S power management chip, which promises to improve the discharge efficiency to 99.5 percent.
The Ace 2 features a triple camera setup, consisting of the 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS paired with an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro unit. On the front, the smartphone has a 16MP camera housed inside the punch-hole cutout.
Connectivity options on the Ace 2 include – 5G SA/ NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The smartphone supports audio over USB C.
