OnePlus India launch event on April 28th: OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, Nord Buds expected

OnePlus says that it aims to further strengthen the brand’s commitment to empowering the community with faster-charging technology, design, and innovation. Thanks to various leaks, we already know a good deal about the Nord CE 2 Lite and Nord Buds design and hardware specifications. More features of the Nord CE 2 Lite and Nord Buds features will be revealed as we inch closer to the launch.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite specifications (expected)

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is said to sport a 6.58-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. It is expected to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset that will be paired with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage.

The handset will run Android 11-based OxygenOS custom skin out of the box, but there are reports that Android 12-based OOS 12 build is in testing and could be ready by the launch. The handset may have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and 5G network support. A 5,000mAh battery is expected under the hood that supports 33W fast charging.

Moving to optics, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will have triple cameras on the back, with a 64MP primary camera, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP mono lens. The phone is said to have a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.

OnePlus Nord Buds

OnePlus will launch its first Nord-branded TWS earbuds on April 28th. The design of the earbuds shown in the teaser image matches the renders shared exclusively by 91mobiles and the FCC certification. The FCC certification confirms the OnePlus Nord Buds moniker and reveals the battery capacity of the earbuds: 41mAh each and 480mAh charging case.

The earbuds have stem-design and in-ear style silicone ear tips, which are slightly angled. There appears to be a physical button on the eartips for play/pause, music change and more controls. The Nord Buds will be available in Black colour, but there could be more options at launch.
