OnePlus may soon have another affordable option for TWS earbud buyers: What we know so far

The OnePlus Buds Pro was launched by the BBK-owned consumer technology giant along with the Nord 2 5G last month. Just last week, the company announced details about the India price and availability of its first TWS earphones with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) revealing that buyers in India will be able to get them at Rs 9,990.
At this price, these TWS earbuds from OnePlus are positioned as mid-range offerings in the wireless audio segment. Now, it is being reported that the company is working on a toned-down variant of these earbuds.
This was tipped by Max J, the tipster who in the past has been right about OnePlus handsets, on Twitter who in a tweet said, “1+ is working on a new – lower priced – pair of headphones with ANC. Some sort of Lite edition of the Buds Pro”

The tipster didn’t provide any expected date of launch for these but if the company is indeed working on launching a more affordable TWS OnePlus Buds with ANC, we expect it to happen soon.
OnePlus TWS current lineup
As of now, OnePlus has three TWS products it sells in India. The most affordable currently are OnePlus Buds Z that are priced at Rs 2,999, after which it is OnePlus Buds that cost Rs 4,990.
Both these TWS products lack ANC.
The only TWS earbuds from OnePlus that come with ANC were the recently launched OnePlus Buds Pro that cost Rs 9,990.
It remains to be seen how the company will position these upcoming affordable TWS earbuds with ANC. We expect them to lock horns with Nothing Ear 1 TWS earbuds that are priced at Rs 5,999. These are the company’s first and only product available right now and come with AC support. To recall, ‘Nothing’ has been founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei.
