OnePlus Nord 2 CE gets BIS certified, may launch soon

OnePlus Nord 2 CE may launch in India soon. The smartphone has appeared in the database of the BIS certification website, hinting at its imminent launch. It was listed with the model number IV2201.
OnePlus Nord 2 CE will succeed the OnePlus Nord CE which was launched in June earlier this year. While the BIS listing does not reveal much about the phone, alleged design and specifications of OnePlus Nord 2 CE appeared online last week.
As per an online report, the smartphone is expected to feature an AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also said to feature a similar design as the OnePlus 9 series. Ditching its old design, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G is expected to come with a punch-hole display and same camera arrangement as the OnePlus 9 series.
OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G in the first quarter of 2022. The handset is rumoured to come powered by a MediaTek processor, MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset.
The handset may come in three RAM models- 6GB, 8GB and 12GB paired with 128GB and 256GB storage capacities. The device is said to support 65W fast charging.
OnePlus Nord 2 CE 5G is said to run on Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of OxygenOS 12. On the camera front, the phone may come with a triple rear camera with 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. It may be equipped with a 16MP camera at the front for selfies.
As far as the pricing is concerned, another online report revealed that the company might price the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant under Rs 28,000.
