OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to launch the OnePlus 9RT smartphone in India this month and now, a recent Tweet by tipster Yogesh Brar reveals that the company is also working on a new smartphone called OnePlus Ivan dubbed as OnePlus Nord 2 CE. The company launched the OnePlus Nord CE this year which is a watered-down version of the OnePlus Nord smartphone. The tipster has also revealed a few key specifications of the device.
According to the tipster, the OnePlus Nord 2 CE will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. The display is tipped to have a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood, the device is rumoured to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage capacity.
When it comes to camera, the smartphone is rumoured to sport a triple camera setup at the rear, consisting of 64MP primary OmniVision lens, 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video calls, the device is rumoured to have a 16MP camera at the front. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 12 based OxygenOS 12 out of the box. The tipster also claimed that the smartphone will have a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
The device is rumoured to be a watered-down version of the OnePlus Nord 2 CE. To recall, Nord 2 was launched in July earlier this year and it features a 6.43-inch AMOLED punch-hole display with 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. In terms of camera, it gets a 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup at the back and a 32MP selfie shooter at the front.
As per previous reports, the smartphone will also be available in the Indian market soon as it was spotted on BIS certification website.
