OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus 7 series receive new OxygenOS update: Details inside – Times of India

NEW DELHI: OnePlus has started rolling out new software updates for the OnePlus Nord 2 and the OnePlus 7 series. The new OxygenOS update brings new features and improvements to the OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. This new update will reportedly bring mobile gaming optimisation on the OnePlus Nord 2 and will help in reducing the power consumption. On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 series of smartphones will get Bitmoji always-on display which the company has co-developed with Snapchat. Along with this, all the above-mentioned OnePlus smartphones will also receive Android security patch for the month of August with the latest update.
The OxygenOS update for OnePlus Nord 2 comes with version number 11.3.A.10 and it weighs 245MB in size. The update brings battery optimisations for PUBG and other games. Additionally, the update will also fix the bug related to face unlocking functionality. The OS update also brings stability to the camera app. This latest software update is available for OnePlus Nord 2 users in India.
On the other hand, OnePlus 7 series smartphone users are receiving OxygenOS 11.0.31 update. The update will bring features like Ambient Display, screenshot functionality and a Bitmoji AOD which the company has co-developed with Snapchat. The company has said the new Bitmoji avatar will also appear on the ambient display. The update also brings stability to the NFC feature.
It is an OTA update, but users can still manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates.
