oneplus: OnePlus 10 Ultra may feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 plus SoC and improved cameras – Times of India

OnePlus has expanded its flagship series of 2022 in India with the launch of two new smartphones — OnePlus 10 Pro and the OnePlus 10R. The more recent OnePlus 10R has gone on sale today and now the company is rumoured to be working on another device of the OnePlus 10 series. According to a GSMAreana report, OnePlus is developing a more advanced Ultra model that is expected to pack a more powerful chipset and better camera hardware than the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The report suggests that the OnePlus 10 Ultra is currently in its testing phase and the device will focus more on the camera performance. The upcoming handset is likely to bring a more advanced camera setup that will deliver much better zooming and ultra-wide performance. The report even mentions that the OnePlus 10 Ultra may use Oppo’s MariSilicon chipset for better image processing.
Moreover, the report also indicates that the upcoming devices will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor which is expected to be designed on TSMC’s 4nm process. The upgraded chip might bring in minor performance and efficiency improvements compared to the OnePlus 10 Pro.
However, there are no details about the upcoming OnePlus 10 Ultra’s display, battery, camera and other key specifications available. OnePlus has also not revealed the official launch date for the upcoming smartphone but it is expected to be unveiled by September 2022.
As per the report, the company is also working on a vanilla OnePlus 10 model that will come powered either by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. The vanilla OnePlus 10 device will reportedly feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, a 50MP main camera setup and a 4800mAh battery unit that will support 150W wired fast charging.
