oneplus: OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite may launch in India soon, gets BIS certification – Times of India

After launching the OnePlus 10 Pro flagship smartphone in India, it appears that OnePlus is now gearing up to launch a new Nord smartphone in the country. OnePlus is rumoured to launch a series of smartphones under its Nord lineup this year and as per a latest tweet by leaker Abhishek Yadav, we may soon see the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite in the market. As per the tweet, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone has bagged certification from India’s BIS authority and TDRA.
The tweet further reveals that the OnePlus smartphone spotted in the TDRA listing sports model number CPH2409. The smartphone with the same model number has also been approved by the BIS authority in India. This indicates that the launch of the smartphone in India is imminent. The moniker of the device suggests that it may be a watered-down version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 that was launched a couple of months ago.
As per a previous report by OnLeaks, the mid-range smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm chipset paired with 8GB of RAM.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite rumoured specifications
OnePlus Nord 2 CE Lite is rumoured to feature a 6.59-inch full HD Fluid display. Under the hood, the smartphone is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to come in two storage variants — 128GB and 256GB. The handset might also incorporate a slot for a microSD card.
OnePlus Nord 2 CE Lite is said to sport a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 64MP main sensor and two 2MP sensors. The smartphone is expected to house a 16MP selfie shooter. The handset may be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
