OnePlus tablet launching soon? Company trademarks ‘OnePlus Pad’ at EUIPO | 91mobiles.com

After Realme, OnePlus also seems to be working on a tablet as the ‘OnePlus Pad’ name has been trademarked at the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), as spotted by Mukul Sharma. Since it’s just a trademark application, there’s no way to tell the company will definitely launch a tablet but it will serve as an indication to suggest that OnePlus could be thinking about adding a tablet to its portfolio of products. Unfortunately, the EUIPO listing doesn’t reveal much else about the tablet at the moment expected for the date of receipt i.e July 1st, 2021.

OnePlus Pad trademark filed at EUIPO

OnePlus has filed a trademark for the OnePlus Pad tablet and the listing went live recently. While the trademark document doesn’t reveal much else about the tablet at the moment, it looks like OnePlus will try to take on Apple’s iPad and Samsung Galaxy tablets considering the company has been expanding into TWS, wearables, and more lately. We hope to learn more about the OnePlus Pad pretty soon.

Separately, the OnePlus 9T is expected to launch later this year and a leak from earlier today had suggested the phone would come with a Samsung LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 108MP Hasselblad quad-camera setup, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. Additionally, OnePlus had announced that it will be merging OxygenOS with OPPO’s ColorOS. While OnePlus phones will still run on OxygenOS globally, the operating system will share the codebase with ColorOS. OnePlus 9T should be one of the first phones from OnePlus to run on ColorOS 11 out of the box globally.
