oneplus: This Oppo phone may be OnePlus 10 smartphone, claims tipster

NEW DELHI: Since the unveiling of OnePlus 7 series in 2019, OnePlus has been launching a standard and a ‘Pro’ version of its smartphones. However, this year so far the company has only launched the ‘Pro version’ of the OnePlus 10 smartphone – OnePlus 10 Pro. There’s no OnePlus 10, OnePlus 10T or even OnePlus 10 Lite so far. Now it appears that we may see other smartphones of the OnePlus 10 series but they may come under a different packaging. Known tipster Digital Chat Station, has shared the renders of the Oppo Reno 8 and the smartphone bears resemblance to the recently launched OnePlus 10 Pro.
One can easily recognise that the camera module with triple-lens setup seen in the Oppo Reno 8 renders is identical to the OnePlus 10 Pro. As Oppo and OnePlus are owned by the BBK Electronics Corporation, they often share technologies. The most recent example was the ColorOS update in the OnePlus smartphones. The colour scheme of the leaked render also matches the Volcano Black colour variant of OnePlus 10 Pro. This has led to the speculation that the phone is actually OnePlus 10.
As of now, Oppo has not shared any details about its upcoming Reno series smartphones. When launched, the smartphone will succeed the Oppo Reno 7 series smartphones launched in India earlier this year.
Oppo Reno 8 rumoured specifications
The leakster claims that the Oppo Reno 8 will feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display. The display is rumoured to have a peak refresh rate of 120Hz. The tipster has also mentioned that the smartphone will have a 50MP IMX766 main camera sensor.
To recall, the OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch LTPO display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a QHD+ resolution — 3216 x 1440 and offers 1300 nits peak brightness. It also gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top. The device features a 48MP + 50MP + 8MP triple camera setup at the back.
