OnePlus working on OnePlus 9T, expected to launch in Q3, 2021 – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker OnePlus recently launched its new OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. The OnePlus 9 series include three smartphones — OnePlus Pro, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9R.
All the three smartphones include a camera setup which the company developed in association with Hasselblad. OnePlus has signed a three-year partnership with the camera pioneer, which means that the future OnePlus smartphones will also include a Hasselblad camera.
Now, a new online rumour reveal that OnePlus is all set to further expand its OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. The rumour reveals that OnePlus is working on the new OnePlus 9T smartphone. The smartphone is expected to launch in Q3 2021. The OnePlus 9T is said to sport a quad-rear camera setup co-developed by Hasselblad.
The rumour also mentions that the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will run ColorOS 11 Global, based Android 11. OnePlus has already confirmed that it is integrating the OxygenOS and Oppo’s ColorOS which will improve the software experience for users. OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 8 series and later will get 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
OxygenOS and ColorsOS codebases merge is said to have little impact on how the UI functions. “This is a change that you will likely not even notice since it’s happening behind the scenes. We now have a larger and even more capable team of developers, more advanced R&D resources, and a more streamlined development process all coming together to improve the OxygenOS experience,” claimed OnePlus.
Apart from this, no other information about the upcoming smartphone is available right now.
It is expected that the OnePlus 9T might come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor and a bigger battery.
