Oppo A78 5G: Launch details
According to the post shared by the company on its Twitter handle, Oppo will unveil the A78 5G smartphone in India on January 16.
Oppo A78 5G: Expected specs
As per the teaser released by the company, Oppo A78 5G is expected to sport a dual rear camera setup and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The rear is said to feature a matte finish along with a vertical glossy strip towards the camera island.
Oppo A78 5G: Specifications (Malaysian variant)
Oppo A78 5G sports a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with 720 x 1612 pixels resolution. The display supports 269 ppi pixel density, and 90Hz refresh rate which is further protected with a layer of Panda Glass. Users can unlock the phone via fingerprint sensor and facial recognition technology.
The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front is home to an 8MP sensor for selfies and video chats. The device comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The smartphone packs 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device runs ColorOS 13 based on Android 13.
Oppo A78 5G is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charging support. The company also claims the smartphone delivers up to 16 hours of video streaming.
Connectivity options on the phone include– Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.3, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
