OPPO A98 specifications and design leaked via TENAA listing; launch seems imminent

OPPO A98 design

Starting with the design, the Oppo A98 will come with a dual rear camera setup and a gradient-like back panel finish. The smartphone seems to have a curved display, as seen in the TENAA screenshots shared by the tipster.

That said, the OPPO A98 design revealed by the alleged ENAA listing seems to be a bit different from what we saw earlier this week. According to renders sourced from noted tipster Evan Blass, the Oppo A98 appeared to have a similar back panel design, but the front panel in earlier renders showed a flat screen with a prominent chin and a waterdrop-style notch. In the latest TENAA listing, the Oppo A98 appears to have a curved display.

Oppo A98 Specifications (expected)

As for the specifications of the Oppo A98, the smartphone will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED 10-bit display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The leak further hints that the Oppo A98 will come with up to 512GB of internal storage, and also hints at the dimensions of the upcoming Oppo smartphone.

An earlier leak had hinted that the Oppo A98 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone was earlier also rumoured to come with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

It is not known when Oppo will launch the Oppo A98 in the global or Indian market. However, the Chinese certification listing hints that the launch maybe soon, at least in Oppo’s local market.
