Oppo ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 is coming on August 18: Here’s what to expect

Oppo’s next iteration of its ColorOS – the ColorOS 13 – is set to be revealed on August 18. The company began beta testing the ColorOS 13 with a selected group of users, including Oppo Find N, Find X5, Find X5 Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro.
The launch event for ColorOS 13 is scheduled at 4:30 PM IST on August 18.
What’s coming new to ColorOS 13
The ColorOS 13 will be based on Android 13, but like the previous iterations of ColorOS, the next one will also come with some of the top features from Oppo. In a press statement, the company said that the ColorOS 13 would incorporate the safety and privacy features offered with the Android 13 with similar customization options as the Material You.
The company says that the ColorOS 13 includes “smart features” to enhance the user experience on big displays. It will also provide “seamless interconnectivity between multiple devices.” Furthermore, Oppo says that the ColorOS 13 will come with a brand-new design promising to deliver “a concise, comfortable, and smooth Android experience.”
Smartphones eligible for ColorOS 13
There is no word on which smartphones will receive the ColorOS 13 update and when. However, considering the list of eligible smartphones for beta testing, the Find N, Find X5 and Reno 8 series smartphones could be the first to receive the update. Since OnePlus smartphones run ColorOS in China, the OnePlus 10 Pro might also join the list.
