Oppo Find N foldable teaser shows a compact Galaxy Z Fold 3 rival

TL;DR

  • Oppo has revealed a teaser video for its upcoming Find N foldable.
  • The teaser shows a foldable with a much smaller smartphone display than expected.

Several rumors in 2021 point to Oppo launching a foldable phone soon, and the company has just posted a teaser video that gives us a good look at the so-called Find N foldable.

The teaser clip, posted by the company’s Weibo account, shows a foldable that has a small external display when folded. In fact, it brings to mind devices like Sony’s Compact range from years gone by. So those who are put off by the ungainly dimensions of current Z Fold-style foldables might want to put this device on their wishlist. Check out the clip below.

We also get a look at the device in its unfolded state, showing a larger screen with a selfie camera in the top-left corner. The foldable display appears to be roughly 4:3, but we’re guessing it’s a smaller size than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 due to the compact smartphone display and smaller overall dimensions. The video also seems to suggest that the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, much like Samsung’s foldables again.

Oppo’s video and post confirms that we’ll find out more on December 15, which is day two of Oppo’s Inno Day event. So we only have a few more days to wait to find out more about this rather intriguing foldable.
