Oppo may soon launch its gaming smartphone – Times of India

NEW DELHI: As per a recent IDC report, the gaming smartphone market witnessed 50% growth. The market is led by Xiaomi backed Black Shark with a market share of 47% followed by Nubia’s Red Magic with 39% share. The third on the list is Asus which offers the popular ROG Phone series. Now it appears that Oppo is also thinking of joining the gaming smartphone segment.
The smartphone maker is likely to enter the gaming smartphone market with the launch of its first gaming smartphone soon. The company is said to be working on its first gaming smartphone and it is expected to launch soon.

According to a few renders, the upcoming Oppo gaming phone was spotted on the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) website. The smartphone was first spotted by 91Mobiles. The renders which appeared on the website reveal some of the design elements of the upcoming Oppo smartphone.
As per the images, the design of the Oppo gaming smartphone includes circuit-like patterns and vents. The smartphone will house a quad-rear camera setup and is expected to come with a punch-hole display. The right side will house a power button, while the volume rockers will be placed on the left. It is also expected that the same as the ROG Phone the smartphone will come with a USB Type C charging port and will also offer fast charging support.
Apart from this, no concrete information about the smartphone is available right now.
However, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and might launch in December 2021.
