NEW DELHI: The internet is abuzz with rumours of Oppo’s first foldable smartphone. Although the company has not officially confirmed any plans about the device, tipsters have revealed several details about it. Now a new leak about the upcoming Oppo smartphone has surfaced online. As per the latest leak, the Chinese smartphone maker is expected to launch the smartphone by the end of this year.
According to a report by Myfixguide, Oppo is expected to unveil its first foldable smartphone on December 14 at the company’s annual Inno Day conference. The report also adds that the foldable smartphone from Oppo has received MIIT certification and it comes with model number PEUM00. The MIIT certification reveals that the company will name the smartphone as Oppo Find N.
The foldable smartphone from Oppo is said to sport a 2K 8-inch tablet-sized AMOLED display. The display is expected to come with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 50MP camera. The device is also expected to house a 32MP selfie shooter.
As per the report, the smartphone will feature an inward folding design as seen on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Huawei Mate X2. The report further reveals that the cover screen is slightly curved at the edges and it has a centered punch hole camera along with 60Hz refresh rate. The inner folding canvas is said to have a refresh rate of 120Hz and a punch hole at the top left corner.
Another online rumour suggests that the upcoming foldable smartphone from Oppo is said to be powered by the recently launched most-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
The device is also rumoured to come equipped with a 4500mAh battery, which will carry support for 65W fast charging. It is expected that the device will run on ColorOS 12, based on Android 12, out-of-the-box.
