oppo: Oppo Reno 8 series of smartphones with 50MP main camera, Android 12 launched – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Oppo has finally unveiled its much-teased Reno 8 series of smartphones in China. The Oppo Reno 8 series consist of three smartphones — Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro+. All the three smartphones have AMOLED screens and 50MP main cameras. The Pro versions of the smartphones offer some advanced camera features and Oppo’s Mari X Silicon NPU.
Oppo Reno 8
Oppo Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It comes in two storage options — 128GB and 256GB.
Oppo Reno 8 sports a triple rear camera with 50MP main sensor, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Front is home to a 32MP selfie camera. It runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of ColorOS 12. Oppo Reno 8 is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro
Oppo Reno 8 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.
The smartphone features a 6.62-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers 120Hz refresh rate and it is scratch-resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
Running Android 12 operating system, the smartphone packs up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. Oppo Reno 8 PRo sports a triple rear camera which comprises 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. Front is home to a 32MP wide angle selfie camera.
The smartphone comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and houses a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro+
Running Android 12 operating system, Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ sports a .7-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers 120Hz refresh rate and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ packs MediaTek 8100-Max chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. It comes in a single storage variant of 256GB. The imaging duties are handled by a triple rear camera which consist of 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP macro shooter. Front is home to a 32MP selfie camera.
The smartphone features an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and houses a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
