Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G: Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G will come powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G chipset
Oppo Reno 6 series will be unveiled on July 14. The series will consist of Oppo Reno 6 and Reno 6 Pro 5G. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed that the Reno 6 Pro will come powered by Mediatek Dimesnity 1200 5G processor.
The chipset is built on a 6nm process with Arm Cortex-A78 core and a clock speed of 3GHz. Compared with the previous generation, the CPU performance of the Dimensity 1200 is said to be improved by 22%. In addition, it is claimed to be 25% more power-efficient with an enhanced GPU performance of 13%.
Oppo India has created a microsite of the upcoming phones on its website. As per the website, either of the handsets will be equipped with triple camera setup at the back. The teaser page also reveals that the Reno 6 series phone will offer Bokeh Flare portrait video capabilities.
The image shows the blue colour variant of the phone with a dual gradient design on the back. It also shows a USB Type-C charging port and a power button at the right edge.
The upcoming series is also teased on e-commerce site Flipkart. This hints at the phones’ availability in the country via the e-tailer’s site.
Oppo Reno 6 series was launched in China last month. The company announced three phones under the series — Oppo Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro and Reno 6 Pro+.
The duo come with ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 operating system and offer 65 watt charging support. Oppo Reno 6 Pro comes powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, while the Reno 6 runs on MediaTek Dimensity 900.
