Oppo Reno 7A launched with Snapdragon 695 chipset: Price, specifications and more
Oppo has launched a new member in the Reno 7 series – the Reno 7A – in Japan. The smartphone is the fifth entrant in Oppo’s Reno 7 lineup, which already consists of a vanilla Reno 7, Reno 7 Pro, Reno 7Z and Reno 7 Lite. Also, it is the first A-branded smartphone in the Reno series after the Reno A, which was launched three years ago.

The Oppo Reno 7A has launched in Japan priced at JPY 45,800 (Rs 26,910) for the single 6GB+128GB storage variant. The Reno 7A will be available to purchase in Japan starting June 30. It will be available through au.com, UQmobile, RakutenMobile, and Y! mobile in two colour options — Dream Blue and Starry Black.

Oppo’s newest Reno 7 series member – Reno 7A – features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 409 ppi pixel density and hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.
Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset powers the smartphone enabling 5G connectivity. The chipset is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It boasts a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The Reno 7A runs Android 12-based ColorOS 12 out of the box.
The Reno 7A comes with a triple-camera setup at the back. The rear camera setup comprises a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a 16MP camera housed inside the punch-hole cutout.
Connectivity options on the Reno 7A include a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and a 3.5mm jack. The smartphone is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. Further, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
