OPPO Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, Reno 9 Pro+ specifications tipped ahead of launch

The Reno 9 series will have a combination of Qualcomm and MediaTek chipsets. The phones will debut in India as well but we don’t have a launch date just yet. We speculate the announcement might happen in early 2023. Let’s take a look at the specifications.

OPPO Reno 9 series specifications (rumoured)

OPPO Reno 9: The latest leak suggests the Reno 9 is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The phone is said to come with a 64MP primary camera and a 2MP dual-camera setup.

OPPO Reno 9 Pro: The Reno 9 Pro is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 67W charging support. As for the cameras, the phone is said to have dual cameras, with a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera and an 8MP secondary lens, probably the UW sensor.

OPPO Reno 9 Pro+: The top-end model is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 SoC. The phone is tipped to pack a 4,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. As for the cameras, the phone will have triple cameras, with a 50MP primary Sony IMX890 camera with OIS, an 8MP secondary lens, and a 2MP sensor.

Besides these specifications, the OPPO Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro, and Reno 9 Pro are said to sport a similar 6.7-inch OLED display with curved edges, a 2.3mm bottom chin, FHD+ resolution, a 10-bit colour panel, an under-display fingerprint sensor, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2160PWM dimming. They are said to feature a 32MP front camera for selfies and video chats. The Pro models are said to get MariSilicon X ISP.

The OPPO Reno 9 and Reno 9 Pro are also tipped to be equipped with a rotor motor for vibration, while the Reno 9 Pro+ will have an X-axis linear motor. The former two models are said to measure around 7.19mm and weigh around 174 grams. The Reno 9 Pro+ will measure 7.99mm and weigh around 192 grams.
