OPPO Reno 9 series specifications, retail box image leak ahead of launch

The news comes from reliable leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, which suggests the OPPO Reno 9 series will draw power from MediaTek Dimensity 8000 and Snapdragon 778G SoCs. Besides this, the brand will likely adopt – and might be the first to do so – the newly launched Universal Fast Charging Specifications (UFCS) that got an introduction by the China Communications Standards Association on September 29th, 2022.

Note: For those unaware, the Universal Fast Charging Specifications got established to promote fast charging technology’s development by being a sole universal standard that will be valid on an industrial scale. As a result, it’ll help brands adopt a unified fast-charging standard, improve third-party certifications, and track the international fast-charging standardization process.

The leaked retail box of the OPPO Reno 9 series is white colored and has Reno branded at the top-left corner with a massive ‘9’ embedded at the bottom-right corner of the box. It does not disclose the design of the handset.

Moving to the specifications, the tipster says that the vanilla Reno 9 will feature a Qualcomm SM7325 processor (Snapdragon 778G) at the helm, and a MediaTek 6895 chip (Dimensity 8000) will run the show on the Reno 9 Pro. Lastly, the Reno 9 will pack a 64MP shooter, while the Reno 9 Pro could house a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor.

Previous leaks suggest the Reno 9 series will equip a 5,000mAh battery and an AMOLED panel.
