OPPO Reno7 Camera Details Leaked Out -Smartprix

After the Reno6 Pro Diwali edition launch in India, Oppo has started working on the Reno7 series, reveals a leak posted by a Chinese tipster. Digital Chat Station reports that the Oppo Reno7 series will feature an improved camera setup. Oppo Reno7 could come with a Sony IMX 766 sensor with 50 MP resolution, claims the tipster.

Reno7 will be able to produce relatively higher quality pictures for a relatively low price, according to a Weibo post.

The Oppo Reno6 series debuted in India a couple of months back. The Oppo Reno6 uses Omnivision’s OV64B sensor, making the Sony IMX 766 an upgrade over its predecessor. OnePlus Nord 2 and the OnePlus 9 series are two smartphones with Sony IMX 766 sensors. According to the tipster, the vanilla version of the Reno7 will feature a 50 MP sensor.

While Oppo hasn’t confirmed the number of phones that will be revealed, they announced three phones in the Reno6 series in China, including the Reno6, Reno6 Pro, and Reno6 Pro+.

As per the tipster, the Oppo Reno7 will have a metal frame and a hole-punch camera cut out on the top left corner. Despite its triple camera setup, the Reno7 will have a 50-megapixel Sony sensor.

The launch date for the Reno7 series has not been announced yet. The Oppo Reno7 series is expected to debut in January 2022.
