Oppo Reno7 series to launch in India on February 4

Smartphone brand Oppo has announced the launch date of the Reno7 smartphone series in India. The company will unveil the phones on February 4. The series will consist of Oppo Reno7 and Oppo Reno7 Pro. Both the handsets will be equipped with 5G support.

In a media invite, Oppo teases the smartphones to come with a proprietary Oppo Glow design that incorporates aircraft-grade Laser Direct Imaging (LDI) technology. The rear glass will offer two properties: matte texture and a shiny appearance. The company also says that the handsets will be equipped with fingerprint and stain-resistance properties.

Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G and Reno7 5G will be available in two colour variants: Startails Blue and Starlight Black. Oppo Reno 7 Pro will be equipped with a 2.5D 6.55-inch OLED screen. The left and right black edges of the screen are said to be 0.2mm narrower. The Reno7 Pro will be 11.5% thinner than last generation Reno with a 92.8% ultra-large screen-to-body ratio and 180 grams weight. Oppo says that the smartphone ‘is the slimmest Reno ever.’

The handset will boast of a Twin Moon Camera design at the back. The upper half of the camera module will be metal, while the lower half will be coated with ceramic.

Oppo Reno7 series was launched in China last year. Oppo Reno7 comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, while the Reno 7 Pro has a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen. Both the handsets offer a 90Hz refresh rate. The former comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, the latter runs on Dimensity 1200-Max chipset.

Both the smartphones are backed by a 4500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. For selfies, the smartphones come with a 32MP Sony IMX709 camera at the front.
