Philips launches new soundbars with Dolby Atmos support, price starts at Rs 28,990

TVP Technology, the company that owns the right to manufacture and market Philips-branded TVs and other electronic appliances has announced two new soundbars in India. The new soundbars from the company — Philips TAB8947 3.1.2 and TAB7807 3.1 CH — support Dolby Atmos technology and claims to deliver a total sound output of up to 660W.

The Philips TAB8947 and TAB7807 will be available at a price of Rs 35,990 and Rs 28,990 respectively at all leading online and offline stores across the country.

Philips TAB8947 soundbar is equipped with a 3.1.2-channel setup that claims to offer a multidimensional audio experience and has a maximum output of 660W output. The soundbar features a total of 8 drivers including two upward-firing speakers and comes with an 8-inch subwoofer unit. The company claims that the combination of all the drivers and woofers delivers clear audio, vocals and surround sound experience with deep and punchy bass.
The soundbar also supports Chromecast, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth as the input option. Philips has also included the AI Voice assistant that allows users to control the soundbar using their voice.

On the other hand, the Philips TAB7807 3.1-channel soundbar uses Dolby Atmos technology to deliver virtual 3D sound for taking your listening experience at a higher level. It provides an output of 620W and is equipped with 6 integrated drivers and 8” powerful subwoofers for a seamless audio experience. The soundbar also features EQ modes and allows users to easily adjust the EQ modes, bass, treble and volume settings with the remote control through Phisoulips Easylink technology.
Both the soundbars come with geometric design and have a low profile, which makes them easy to place under or alongside your TV. Both come equipped with HDMI eARC technology as well.
