Pixel Watch: Google I/O 2022: Pixel Watch and 5 other hardware devices company may launch – Times of India

Google’s annual developer conference, the I/O keynote, is set to start in another few hours. The tech giant is expected to reveal details about Android 13, Wear OS 3, Chrome OS updates and more but there are also the chances of new hardware announcements from the company. The keynote starts at 10.30PM IST and here’s what all devices Google is rumoured to unveil today.
Pixel Watch
The internet has been abuzz with rumours about the first ever smartwatch by Google, likely to be called the Pixel Watch. Google may choose to just tease the device at the event and keep the full details for later when the watch launches, possibly along with the Pixel 7 series.
Google Pixel 6a
The Pixel 6a could be one of the major hardware reveals by Google at this year’s I/O. It would be the more affordable version of the Pixel 6 and is said to ship with the same Tensor chipset that powered the recent Pixel devices.
Google Nest Hub
An earlier report by 9to5Google claimed that a new Nest Hub was in the works and that the device will also include a detachable tablet. We might get to know more about the device today.
Pixel Buds Pro
The Pixel Buds Pro are also on the list of the devices likely to be announced today. Tipster Jon Prosser had earlier claimed in a tweet that they were coming soon in “Real Red, Carbon, Limoncello and Fog” colour variants. There haven’t been multiple rumours about Pixel Buds Pro, which usually hint at an imminent launch and although Prosser didn’t mention the I/O event as the launch event for these devices, there is a slim possibility for them to launch.
New Chromecast with Google TV
A new Chromecast with Google TV could also be in the reveal pipeline as there have been several rumours about it. It could also mean that the 2020 version may be upgraded to Android 12 but the rumours hint at a new device altogether.
Google Pixel Fold
Alongwith its first smartwatch, Google may also give a glimpse of its first foldable device, rumoured to be called the Google Pixel Fold. When Google released Android 12L’s second beta build early this year, the animations found in the build showed a foldable device which led to the rumours. It would be a mega reveal of a product should Google decides to go for it.
