play store: Google Play Store web redesign now rolling out, here’s what has changed – Times of India

Google is finally rolling out a massive redesign to the Play Store web. The company started testing the new web user interface redesign in November last year. The updated UI design of the Play Store web brings it in line with other Google services and apps.
Google Play Store web: New changes and more
As far as the design update is concerned, the Play Store web now looks more like its app counterpart as if it was designed for bigger screen device like tablets. However, the actual tablet Play Store is a little different from the updated web design.
Coming back to the user interface, the first thing you’ll notice is the updated top ribbon. The menu options — Games, Apps, Movies & TV, Books and Kids have been moved to the top from the side panel. Which kind of looks more practical and sophisticated.
The search icon, help and profile icon have been moved to the right side of the screen. The top ribbon is also visible on all the screens no matter where you are on the Play Store website.
Apart from that, the new app listing page also appears a lot similar to the Play Store app version where each detail along with the Install button and other details are laid out in an organised manner as we see on the app.
In the app section, the Play Store web now gives users the option to filter apps based on Phone, Tablet, TV, Chromebook Watch and Car. The Games section also follows the same design statement.
