Poco C50 launch in India is confirmed to be on January 3 | Digit

Last week, Poco teased that it would be launching a new C-series smartphone in India, known as the POCO C50. The brand has now confirmed that it will unveil this new device in the Indian market tomorrow. A microsite for the Poco C50 has also been made live on Flipkart, and it shows off the specifications of the device. 

It’s important to remember that a Poco C50 device equipped with a MediaTek Helio A22 and 3GB RAM was seen recently on the Geekbench database. The aforementioned Poco C50 micro-site on Flipkart confirms these specifications and confirms that the entry-level smartphone runs on the Android 12 Go Edition. The microsite also suggests that the smartphone will be rebranded as Redmi A1+. 

Poco C50 specifications

According to the Poco C50 micro-site, the device will come with a 6.52-inch HD+ display, 120Hz touch sampling rate, and a waterdrop notch that holds the 5MP selfie camera. The Poco C50 is said to run on the MediaTek Helio A22 processor along with an IMG PowerVR GPU. The Poco C50 will also have a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The smartphone will be equipped with a dual camera setup, with an 8MP primary sensor along with a second depth sensor. It will also have an LED flash. The smartphone will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and come with Android 12 (Go Edition). 

Poco C50 price

While the Poco C50 price has not been confirmed by the brand, it is rumoured to be around ₹7,000.
