After launching the POCO M4 Pro 5G variant in India recently, POCO has now launched the 4G variant of the smartphone. The POCO M4 Pro 4G is a budget offering from the manufacturer and starts at Rs 14,999 in India. The phone was unveiled globally as well and is equipped with a MediaTek chipset. Looking at the price tag, we thought it’d be a good idea to compare the POCO M4 Pro 4G with the Redmi Note 11, which offers similar performance and features. Let’s take a look at the differences and similarities between the two phones and find out which one is a better buy. 

POCO M4 Pro 4G vs Redmi Note 11: price in India

The POCO M4 Pro 4G price in India starts at Rs 14,999 for the base variant, which gets 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The mid-variant is priced at Rs 16,499, and it comes with 128GB of internal storage along with 6GB RAM. There’s another variant that gets 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is priced at Rs 17,999. 

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11 is a little cheaper with its base model starting at Rs 13,499 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 6GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 14,499, and the 6GB + 128GB version is Rs 15,999. 

The Redmi Note 11 is cheaper than the POCO M4 Pro 4G, but the POCO does offer more RAM and slightly better features.

Design

In terms of design, both smartphones feature flat edges that give them a premium look. The POCO M4 Pro 4G gets a large rear camera module that spreads across the back and includes some POCO branding. The phone is also available in a bright yellow colorway that helps the phone stand out in the crowd. It gets a front punch-hole cutout for the camera, which is located at the top centre. The volume and power buttons are available on the right side of the device. 

The Redmi Note 11 has a minimal design, also with flat sides, which gives it a nice premium look and feel. The rear camera module is rectangular in shape, and the volume+power buttons are placed on the right side. The Note 11 also gets a centrally located hole-punch camera cutout on the front. 

Both phones feature dual stereo speakers and also get an IP53 splash resistance rating. 

Processor, storage, RAM

The POCO M4 Pro 4G is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, which can easily handle gaming, and multi-tasking. The processor is paired with up to 8GB RAM, but you could also opt for the 6GB RAM version. As for storage, the phone is available with 64 or 128GB of internal storage, and you get a microSD card slot for expansion.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset. The processor is coupled with a maximum of 6GB RAM, and the base variant gets 4GB RAM. It also gets up to 128GB of storage, and you can add more storage via the microSD card slot. 

Display

Coming to the displays, both smartphones feature very similar display specs. They both come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The phones offer up to 700 nits of brightness and 1000 nits of peak brightness. The panels are protected with Gorilla Glass 3.

As you can see, there’s hardly any difference between the display found in both POCO M4 Pro 4G and the Redmi Note 11. The real-world performance should also be similar. 

Cameras

In the camera department, the POCO M4 Pro 4G comes with a triple rear camera setup, which consist of a primary 64-megapixel sensor. The Redmi Note 11 has a more versatile camera setup with four rear sensors. There’s a main 50-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and dual 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro. The phone features a 13-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls. 

Battery

Again, plenty of similarities when it comes to battery and charging. Both phones use a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. You can expect similar battery performance from both phones as they both also run MIUI software.

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, the POCO M4 Pro 4G and the Redmi Note 11 offer dual 4G, USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster, GPS, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC. 

POCO M4 Pro 4G vs Redmi Note 11: Verdict

There’s not really a lot of difference between the new POCO M4 Pro 4G and the Redmi Note 11 in terms of specifications and features. The POCO M4 Pro 4G offers a higher resolution main rear camera, higher RAM, and a better-looking design. That’s about the only advantage it has over the Redmi Note 11. If design, more RAM, and a higher resolution main camera matter to you, then you should choose the POCO M4 Pro 4G. If you’d like to save some money, then you cannot go wrong with the Redmi Note 11.
