Poco was expected to launch its entry-level smartphone – the Poco C40. But, days before its global launch, Poco has launched the C40 in Vietnam revealing the smartphone’s specifications and pricing. The Poco C40 comes as a successor to last year’s Poco C30. The key features of the Poco C40 include a 6.71-inch HD+ IPS LCD display, a 13MP dual-camera setup and a 6,000mAh battery.
Poco C40: Price and availability
The Poco C40 is priced at VND 3,490,000 (Rs 11,687) in Vietnam for the lone 4GB+64GB storage configuration. The smartphone will be available to purchase in the country starting June 17, a day after its global launch.
Poco C40: Specifications
Poco C40 features a 6.71-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and a peak brightness of 400 nits. The front-facing camera is housed inside a waterdrop style notch. Further, the display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Talking about its internals, the Poco C40 is powered by the JLQ JR10 chipset. Well, JLQ is a Malaysia based silicon manufacturer, and JR 10 is an entry-level 11nm chipset with eight performance cores clocked at 2GHz. The chipset is said to be as powerful as the Snapdragon 450 or Helio G35. Under the hood, the chip comes paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 11 out of the box.
Poco C40 comes with a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth unit. It has a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The smartphone boasts a 6,000mAH battery with support for 18W fast charging. And it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button.
