poco: Poco to launch laptops with 16-inch screen and 3,620 mAh battery in India – Times of India
Smartphone brands are diversifying outside mobile phones and are introducing multiple AIoT products. Poco, which was earlier a part of Xiaomi, has now made its separate identity in the market and is trying to penetrate the PC market, reports GizmoChina. The report adds that the Chinese smartphone maker might launch its first-ever laptops in India and has recently got a Redmi G series laptop battery certified from the Indian Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). It is not entirely clear if they will design a totally new laptop or rebrand the one that is sold by Redmi.
There is no clear information about the pricing and availability of these laptops as the company has not released any official announcement. Some of the specifications that the laptop is expected to carry are listed below.
Poco Laptop expected specifications
The report adds that the Poco branded laptop was spotted with a Redmi G series laptop battery and model number of G16B01W listed on the BIS website under the brand name of Poco. The laptop is expected to pack a 3,620 mAh battery which is also there in the Redmi G gaming laptop.
If the company launches this laptop as a gaming laptop, it can be expected to be powered by an Intel or AMD Ryzen series chipset along with a NVIDIA or Radeon graphics card. The Redmi G gaming laptops have a 16.1-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate, 11th-gen Intel Core i5 chipset, 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
Poco is expected to announce the release date of its M4 Pro 5G in India which was recently launched by the company globally. This device is the successor of the Poco M3 Pro 5G and was unveiled as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11.
